This piece came from a friend of my mother-in-laws and it was in really rough shape, everything had to be taken apart, repaired, and put back together. The veneer was damaged beyond repair in a lot of places, so we simply opted to remove it entirely, while the rest was patched. I finished it in colors I had never before used together, because I wanted it to be a fun piece and I was thinking I’d probably keep this one…I just so happen to have a gallery wall of pic’s taken at the fair, with vivid colors, that I think this will go perfect underneath! I used Amber Waves of Grain, Blue Jeans, Home Plate, and Fireworks Red {all by American Paint Company}. I also used Clear and Dark Wax over the entire piece. The top was refinished with an American Walnut stain. I’ve also never used more than two colors together on a piece, but I’m glad I pushed myself out of my box and comfort zone with this piece!
