Interior decor in Frisco Texas specializing in Iron Orchid and Wise Owl
Happy New Year’s Eve! This is my last post for 2019 and I’ll keep it short because it’s time to celebrate a new decade!!
I’ve gathered a collection of my top 9 furniture makeovers for 2019. I used a mix of transfers and decor stamps from Iron Orchid Designs-IOD on five of the pieces. And, all of them were refinished with either the One Hour Enamel or the Chalk Synthesis Paint, by Wise Owl Paint.
I spent most of the year traveling for business and/or family time, I had a blast but didn’t have as much time to paint. That being said, I only have one or two trips (max) planned for next year. I have a lot to do here in Texas and different goals this year. But, I’ll get to that in just a bit…
On November 7th, I was surprised and honored to be selected for the 2019 Best of Frisco Award in the Boutiques category, by the Frisco Award Program. Here’s the Press Release.
I believe that covers my 2019 highlights and we can move onto 2020. However, if you want a more in-depth look at my year, you are welcome to scroll through my blog. You can view by category or enter a search word of your choosing.
After 7+ years, I’m moving into a brand new shop that will open in Jan/Feb of 2020. The Painted Tree will be located in Frisco and is only 3.5 miles away from the Frisco Mercantile.
Now, what’s most exciting about this move is that I will finally have a space to hold workshops. This is something I’ve been wanting for a very long time and it’s finally happening!
I want to teach people how to use transfers, stamps, moulds, and learn different painting techniques. I get so much joy out of teaching and cannot wait to create fun and unique classes! Don’t worry if you’re not local because I have something planned for you, too (wink-wink).
The Painted Tree is located at 2930 Preston Rd, Frisco, TX. It’s open from 10-8 every day, seven days a week, which is super awesome!
With a new location and a new emphasis on workshops, I felt a new logo was in order. It’s the little things, right?
Saltwash isn’t new but it’s a new line for me. I’ll have it available in my online store and in my new shop location. And, I’ll have workshops available for those that want to learn how to use it.
Wishing you peace, love, and laughter in the new year. XO, Julia.
